The hotel is perfectly located between the train station and the city centre. It's a short walk from the train station, you need to stay on the left side of the road and follow the footpath via the subway. Hotel Albert is right next to the Saturday market, where they sell all sorts of things including plants, and is opposite the concert hall. We booked a triple room for two nights and were given a kind of a suite with two bedrooms that share a bathroom. The rooms had everything we needed, bright and smart looking in grey tones. It was quiet despite the road outside. The windows are double glazed. We are grateful to the management for accommodating our late check-in (after midnight) as the first hotel we had booked cancelled our reservation due to our late arrival. Breakfast was great too and we had delicious fried eggs alongside cold meats and cheeses and various fresh pastries and bread rolls. The usual fruit juices and hot drinks were available. Staff are friendly, especially Christine who served the breakfast and gave us tips re sight-seeing . We would happily stay at Hotel Albert 1 again when in Bruges.

Room was modern, large bed, best use of space, modern bathroom and AC. TV and coffee/Tea making facilitis, USB chargers. Location was literally 5 minutes walk into Brugges, 10 minute walk to the train station and free shuttle bus at the door. The breakfast was excellent choice of cereals, bread, cheese, meats, eggs, spreads, coffee, tea and juice.staff were fantastic, helpful, made you feel welcome, happy to chat and engage, very attentive. Parking underground nearby - 3 minute walk with case to the hotel. Parking was 16 euro a day, alternatively parking was available at the train station at 5 euro a day with free bus travel. We chose to pay extra secure car park and close to the hotel. Access to more than Brugge, we took a train Brussels and shopped till we dropped and a mere 58 euro return for 2 and we also went to Ghent on the train as well took in the ahops and sights. Anyway about the hotel and staff, location and facilities - FANTASTIC!!! Christine was great offering advice on where ro go etc and the owners mum also helped at breakfast.

The location was great. Easy, pleasant walk from train station, even in the rain. (Once we arrived, they had umbrellas we could borrow). The neighborhood was safe and convenient. Located on a large square, and just on the other side of the square were the streets of the old town. So convenient. We were even more happily surprised to find that the next day was market day at the square, so we bought something and could take it right back to our room. The following day we happened upon a cute holiday show for kids on a stage in the square. The hotel has the vibe of a warm, friendly, family-run B&B. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful. He helped us carry our bags up the steps and made a dinner reservation for us at a restaurant. The breakfast room was quaint and we were served by a sweet lady who brought us trays of goodies, as well as eggs cooked to order. Good coffee. Plenty of food and friendly personal service. Our room was nice, bathroom was nice. Quiet and comfortable.

-Breakfast was amazing! The ladies are so nice and kind :) Because is not buffet, they ask you what do you prefer. Eggs, cereal, juices, tea, coffee, etc. They are very generous with the bread (many types! ---> Croissants, brown bread, white bread, etc ), Fruit salad, different types of cheese and ham. -We were 4, we asked for a large bed and 2 individual and we got what we asked :) -There's air-conditioning, TV, coffee/tea maker... I just missed a small frigo bar :) -The location is very central (in front of the bust station) what makes things a bit difficult when you came by car and with lots of luggage. Around the hotel the streets are only allowed for public transport. A good solution is to park at the Train Station parking (around 6 euro for 2 nights), it's safe and cheap (10 min walking). -For sure we will back to this hotel in the future !!!

The hotel is very conveniently located within walking distance of everything Brugge, history, restaurants, canal boats and World Class Churches. The remote parking is an easy 1/2 mile walk. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very nice. The location is right across from a central bus station but this is not really uncomfortable in any way . One consideration seniors should be aware of is this location like a lot of old properties in old cities have is tight spiral staircases which can be challenging to navigate. This situation may be able to be addressed prior to registration. I would stay there again.
